HOLLY MOLLY is it winter already! 6 more months and i'll be college bound...hopefully ;) Moved away and on my own.... sorta. I plan to stick around California for a while even the OC maybe. My friends and I are planning a road trip together around California and see all the places we've never seen living in Orange county. It's amazing how you could live in a place for so long and never really see all of it. You know? So places we want to see:

I see it the most right now probably because i'm in high school, the kids who are all crazy and different and those other kids who all look the same and laugh at those crazy and different. I guess I would like to live in a world without those judgmental people but then again, if there wasn't any I guess I wouldn't know how great being different is and who I would want to hang out with! Today wasn't the best outfit day but I really needed to post! It was super cold today and i really wanted to wear a sweater. Inspired by alexa chung, i put a collared shirt under and wore my hair loose and messy.

My Floating Balloon: Today my balloon has movies! On rainy days like this, all i want to do is hide under my covers and put on a good flick to watch! I love watching movies, and especially when i find a wonderful one, because its just kind of fun to be in a whole other world for a portion of time, consumed with what the characters are going to do next, just like a good book, except you get to actually see what everything is rather visualize it yourself. My favorite movies are the ones with really good lines or narration with good messages about.... anything.

I had to put dark tights on under these tights because without them you wouldn't be able to see the color as well.

So it has been freezing here! I'm in love with it! I love the cold. You get to wrap yourself up in blankets and jackets and just chill :) It was raining yesterday and It was so pretty i just wanted to stay in bed and watch through my window. However i had to work so that wasn't possible :(

This thursday is the Ra Ra Riot concert! i got my friend and i tickets for her birthday and i'm super super excited. I hope to meet many many friendly hipsters there. And maybe even my soul mate. Okay okay. I know. Chances are very unlikely but hey! a girl can dream.

My Floating Balloon: Today my balloon has your soulmate. Its hard to imagine that there is one person out there in the world that you are supposed to be with, which is why a lot of people dont believe in soulmates. I'm not sure i believe in them myself. I do believe that there is a person that you will find who makes you happy, girl or boy, they are going to make you smile, frown, laugh, and cry, and I think that, even if you don't spend the rest of your life with them, they will share with you a time that makes you look back and smile. Even if you have multiple people in your life, a person who you can share a passion and love for will come and grace you with their presence and even if you don't realize at that moment that the time you are sharing is an incredible force, you will find yourself happy and content and really thats all anyone strives for. I strive to find someone who makes me happy and therefore content. Passion and love are just icing on the cake. I've made pointless lists in my mind of the perfect guy for me, but really when he walks into my life and i light up and smile, that is all that really counts.

So long time no post yes? How are you? A lot has been happening in my life like.........

Yeah.... so not that much :) A lot of little things like.... (ready for a rant?) I've been feeling a little clumsy lately. For example at work the other day i slipped and fell right on my knees! It was ver embarassing. I yelled (and excuse my french) "SHIT!" really loud and a customer looked at me all weird and didnt even ask if i was okay! How rude right? Maybe he was surprised at my language. I dont really know. Then only a few minutes later i was putting away some baskets when somehow i managed to scrape my hand and suddenly i was bleeding very very much. Hehe. Today, i was sitting in design craft when i reached over to grab something and i fell right off my stool. The whole class started laughing and lets just say it wasn't my finest moment.... I never know what to do in those awkward situations when you know....you fall and it really hurts and people laugh but then they ask if your okay and you just say yes....I try to avoid eye contact because i really don't want to look fazed by the event. Hehe. ANYWAY. Besides my tripping and injuries basically its been a normal few weeks just working and such.

Has anyone been watching Pan Am? I'm super obsessed with it right now! Everytime I watch it i get entranced in what they are wearing. I love styles from back then. They were so classic and chic.

My Floating Balloon: Today my balloon has anger. It shakes its fist at the world and yells at the top of its long, slowly becoming less and less audible as it floats up. We often fall back on our anger when we are upset and let the rage of our feelings escape through hurtful words and loud noises that we can never take back. We forget, getting caught up in the moment, that once something is said and is out of your mouth there is no way to take it back. Words you say when you are angry or confused or frustrated may not exactly be the words that you would use a few minutes later when you collect your thoughts and become clear in mind. We must all remember to think before we speak and hopefully others will understand and be forgiving when the words our pointed at them and the owner comes back with an apology. We are all human and we all get angry sometimes. Hopefully we can all remember that. <3 Thanks for reading.

Its kind of scary. I guess we just have to live our life to the fullest because one day we'll be gone. And that totally sucks, but at least wherever we end up (heaven, hell, a totally different planet, or just a random soul wandering around the earth) we can look back and not regret the life we lived. Just did a Salvation Army run and got....WAY TOO MANY CLOTHES! but for very cheap! everything half off! yay! I took four days off of work also, and so far have went to disneyland, an outlet mall, and long beach. Tomorrow i think i'm just gonna chill though! OH! and also i got my schedule for next year! super excited! Well....as excited as i can be for starting school again. I have almost everycalls with one of my really close friends! Except for english. One day i have all of my classes with my friend Rhiannon! so thats exciting! I'm not as stressed for this upcoming year because of that. I always stress over going into a new classroom and who i'm going to sit by and where and who is in my class. So i'm happy that i only have to do that in one class :) But yeah.... i am soooo not ready for school to start!!!! I feel like, besides this one week, i havent done anything summery besides working! Bleeeh. I will say this though, it will be nice to have another life besides working at ralphs, even if that is going to school.

Just picked up my registration packet for next year. Ahhhh school is actually going to start soon :( But i'm going to be a senior which is very exciting. One more year and then I'm off to long beach. Monday my friend and i went to salvation army to find a typewriter when we came across this and another camera. This one is just a cheapy camera but i still like it. I love the idea of putting film in a camera and not knowing what it's going to look like when you take a picture untill you develop it. There was another, really really old, video camera that you had to wind in order to make it work. It was really really cool! We went there without any money, however, so we hid these items and an old typewriter underneath a shelf to come back on tuesday. When we went back everything was put back in the right place but were able to find everything except the old wind up video camera! It made us sad!!!!

I also found this case there for $1.89, which is a steal!!! Inside it had a plastic filling for you to put your cassette tapes in. I took it out and attatched the strap of my old purse that broke to it. And there you have my new bag. Its kind of awk though, because everytime i want to take something out of my bag i have to put it on the table and open it up like a brief case. :)

I've been reading Just Kids by Patti Smith lately. Its really good too! Its the story of her and Robert Mapplethorpe. I havent had a lot of time to read but I cant wait to go deeper into it! I have to return some books to the library today so i plan on getting Chronicles Volume 1 by Bob Dylan. That should be a good read as well.

I always forget how much i love to read. I always get so busy i never find the time but when i do it just feels so right. I also love the library. It just feels so amazing to go into a place filled floor to ceiling with books by people who are alive and people who are dead, stories that are true and some that arent. I don't know. And to me its better than a book store. The books have memories, fingerprints of people who lived years before you. Its just soooo cool!

My Floating Balloon: Today my balloon has the world. OH yeah! My balloon is THAT big! Well, lets start with a simple statement. The world is big. Bigger then anything in the world! hahaha. And there is so much in it that we may never ever ever get to see, which, if you think about it, is really sad! I may never meet the people who have influenced my life so heavily and I may never go to countries whose ideas were brought to mine! Its that feaking big! The world is big enough to crush all our hopes and dreams! Literally. Its Bigger then your mama! (i had to go there). What I am trying to say is that.....well.....what am i trying to say? I guess that the world is so huge and yeah, whatever, you may never get to meet Johnny Flynn or Katy Perry, but hey! There are still so many great things in there that you can easily reach. And if not, then remember a little effort goes a long way. Sometimes the best things in the world are the ones you have to strive for. In other news! Because i know you want to hear about my life :) My friends and i are going to start a bussiness together. Selling snow cones this summer at the park!!!! I know it sounds silly but think about it. How many kids do you know who would want a snow cone? Like all of them! right? and what better place to go then the park! There is a lot involved however in doing this to make sure it legal. So we have to get a permit and look more into, but its going to happen!

ANYWAY....

I recently revieved a whole box of jewelry! I'm supa supa excited! Theres so much randomly amazing things! I don't even know where to start. I've always been low on accessories so its amazing to finally have tons of things to finish all my outfits!!!

My Floating Balloon: Today my balloon has the past and future. I feel like i have probably already done this recently. But I'm so sick of it. Thinking about it makes me go insane! All the things i did that i'm not too proud of and all the random events that happened that well, just kind of sucked. I really want to stop thinking about it. And with things like people, especially, I'm always thinking "oh shoot i really wish i didn't do that" or "i could have handled that situation better" and it just kind of brings me back to this place where i just dont really want to be. A place where i'm living in the past, regretting, and wishing i didn't do and say the things i did. So with that in mind lately I've been just kind of thinking "you know what, screw you" I don't care about what said then. It doesnt matter. I don't care how i felt then. It doesnt matter. Part of me has always kind of been that way. Having no feelings for what used to be and just moving on suddenly and fast. I don't think people really get it though when i do it. When i get sick of someone or get tired of dealing with them i just put them on this shelf of my past and dont ever go back to look at it. I kind of like it that way! Hehe. ANYWAY. What i'm trying to say is, the past is the past and thats where i want to keep it. Screw everyone elses feeling about it and what i did and whatever. Its in the past and the future is coming quickly. And I'm really looking forward to it. I don't want to sound full of myself or anything. But I really like the person I've grown to be and am still growing to be. I like how much i've changed since freshment year or even middle school. I'm not scared anymore to wear what i want to school. I've finally found my style and what I like to wear and what i feel good in, never minding what others around me are wearing. I've found out what I'm passionate about and am sticking with it. I'm there for people who need me, like my mom and stuff, and know the right things from the wrong. I like how I don't do anything I'm not really comfortable with. Freshmen year and even a month or a few weeks ago i would tell myself that I wasn't against certain things and would do them if everyone else was because i didn't want to seem like a priss. But hell to that! I am a priss! AND I'M PROUD! Anways, I like who I am now and who I'm turning into. I guess I just cant wait to see what the future has in store. And what i have in store for it. I think we should all take this moment to say goodbye to the past. And hello to what is coming.

I really wanted to wear my leotard with this because its a halter, but i realized i had dance at school today and we change in a locker room...so people in regular pe would probably think i was really weird if they saw that i was wearing a leotard. hehe.

My Floating Balloon: Today my balloon has my figure. Which sounds very strange i know. I've put myself on a diet. I finally did it! I was scared to tell anyone at first because all my friends look at me weird whenever i tell them I want to lose weight. They always say "but your not fat" and I know! I never ever would call myself fat, because i'm not. I would like to say that I'm on this diet to eat healthy, but I'm not. I really do want to lose weight. Here is the thing, and my point to this balloon. I don't think I am fat but I'm still not comfy in my body. I want to be a few sizes smaller because I'm not happy being this weight. Last year I was about maybe 10 pounds lighter. And even then i was a smidgen too big. I do not plan at all!!!!!!! to diet anyway that will harm myself! I get really scared that people will think that because i want to lose weight so much. I have made my food plan, my healthy lunches, counted my calories and added them for the perfect, healthy, amount for the day. I just want to be happy in my skin and wear anything i want when i want to. That's all! It's important to be happy in your body even if you are a little big or too small, as long as youre happy then It really doesnt matter. You only live once though, so make sure that you figure out what will make you happy.

MUSIC: Sun Hands by Local Natives (anyone who has been around me recently knows how obsessed i am with this song. I cant get it out of my head. The transitions in this song are just....amazing i dont know! I just love it)

So i am very sad because right now, as we speak, coachella is happening. If you dont know what that is, its a big music festival here in california. AND let me tell you, almost ALL of my favorite bands are going to be there. Like.... seriously. But i couldnt get tickets because it sold out in the first.....week or less :(

This week has been spring break and i really havent accomplished a whole lot. My room is still a mess and my life is as boring as it always is. I have spent the last few days watching reruns on youtube of my favorite show when i was in 5th 6th and 7th grade called Wildfire. Its about horses...but not really. Thats just the setting, like the revolving thing but its an old abc family show so it has drama and all that good stuff. You know how when you start reading a book or watch a show and you just get really involved in the characters life, like you feel like its your life too and then you finish the book or the seasons over and you feel kind of empty and beside yourself. That's how i feel. I don't know what to do now that ive watched all 4 seasons and well....its been over for almost 4 years. :(

ANYWAY

My Floating Balloon: Today my balloon has your room. Even if you dont have your own room, you still have that place that kind of shows touches of who you are and makes you feel safe. At least i do. My room is a dead give away of who i am. It shows every aspect of me in every face of my life... and i really like that. It reminds me of who i am and what i've done. I have pictures of my favorite people and artists and bands on my wall, my door, my bulletin board. I have hats on the walls and pictures of fashion issues of W and bazaar magazine stacked on my book shelf to show how much fashion plays a huge part in my life. I have my moms modeling photos and a picture of my two best friends and me framed letting people know the kind of people who make me who i am. I have barbies posed and dolls and stuffed animals to remind me of my childhood. Books and books and clothes and clothes pushed into my closet. Every little thing in my room shows who i am and what i came from, what i like and what makes me...me. If anything all of this just makes me feel comfy. When i lay in my antique bed i got a garage sale or something in my ikea sheets and look around the room i just kind of feel like im in my mind. Its cluttery and messy and really needs a good vacuuming. But its my space and its where i do my best thinking. I think we all need that. Dont you?

So the first outfit is my "casual" outfit. Its really funny to me because i am not one of those people who can just throw on a tshirt and jeans and go, no, i have to plan my outfit accordingly and if i want a casual outfit i have to over think it and make one.... and it never comes out casual. This outfit was actually pretty comfy though, cause of the knit shorts. i wanted to wear something comfy the day coming back from being sick...AGAIN! this is the 3rd time in about oh....two months! that i've been sick and its starting to get on my nerves!!!!

Anysways i got the pants in the second one from urban. I originally got some harem pants that had a floral print and this blue blouse to match, but when i got home to look at them the pants were completely torn above the elastic near the ankles as if someone had tried it on and decided to just jam their foot in it! so pissed! they were amazing! and the blouse was missing a button...which normally wouldn't bug me but i was just kind of sinking in it because it was so huge. Anyway it just proves urbans bad quality of the clothes for the price you pay...even though everything is so freaking cute! But i realized how much i like going to urban just for the inspiration. I plan to take the rest of my birthday money down to salvation army with that inspiration in mind and go crazy! thats really all urban is though....really expensive replicas of things you can buy at a goodwill or salvation army store.

My Floating Balloon: Today my balloon has life. It floats up to the sky never looking back... because life just doesnt look back. I realize i must have had life in my floating balloon once before, but i feel its relavent to myself right now. Obviously i guess. But especially right now. With everything happening right now i feel like Life is just....here. Take whats happening in Japan. Seeing all those people suffering for something that was out of their hands is devistating. And watching my mom worry about all the relatives we have there is horrible. Some of their lives there in Japan cannot be saved. And with the recent death of someone at school and finding out a few weeks ago that my aunt has stage 4 lung cancer and tumors in her brain, bones, and a broken hip and watching my mom cry more then i've ever seen her cry, i guess it's just all kind of sinking in you know? I don't worry about my life as much as i worry about others i think. I realize that life is short and that you just have to forget everything that has ever brought you down, everyone who has ever screwed you over, and all the things about yourself you just hate. Forget everything. All of it. And just live. I realize that. But i know so many people who just dont. And sometimes i stay up really late in bed and think about them. My closest friend more then anything. My mom sometimes. And i just worry about them. Worry that they may never see whats a head of them and that they'll keep looking back. That they wont ever know how much i care for them and love them and think about them more then i know i should. I just want them to take life in. Just live it. Stop relying on things to make you feel better, things that just wont, and just smile at what you have. The good things that you have. Not the bad. A home. Friends. Family. whatever. And then look at Japan. Look at Haiti. Look at the boy from schools picture in the yearbook. And my aunt lying in her bed. And realize that hey, you arent them right now. No one is telling you you don't have something to look foreward to. You do. You have life always there by your side. So go live it.

So yay! new computer! I got it for my 17th birthday! YUS! I am 17!!!! and i finally got my license as well! if only i could drive my car! it's a stick and frustrating beyond anything!

Well, anyway I am in desperate need to do laundry how i managed to pull this outfit out of a hat is amazing (literally!) I was looking through nylon and got inspired to wear my old hat from freshmen year! I love this hat but whenever i wear any sort of hat i get strange looks from people in the halls. Oh well thats highschool in newport beach!

Music: (i decided to put the music selection here rather then in the player because i figure you can listen to it if you really want to rather then me forcing you to by playing it anyway. Hehe. AND i figure this way the music is more in the post!)

So i had competition this weekend for dance and I had a few hours in between dances so my mom and i went over to the old navy somewhere is San Diego. I never really liked old navy because their clothes were a little boring but omigosh! they were having a big sale and i got 3 skirts for $2 each and a shirt for 97 cents! annnndd a dress for like $10. It was all very amazing. So you will probably see a lot of old navy here in my next few posts :)

My Floating Balloon: Today my balloon has music. I've realized how right now i've been accepting so much new music! I've been really happy! I keep going to the library and getting cds i would never usually get and listening to them and realizing how much i really like them. Yesterday i got a Frank Sinatra cd. I KNOW! I usually write off music if it's too mainstream or even old, but now i'm accepting all music. There's so much and i just want to take in all of it. Artists go through so much to produce their music, to write it off just doesn't seem right. I originally said I didn't like Tegan and Sara based on one song i heard of them, and how many people love them and stuff but i just got their cd The Con and I really really like it! It's amazing how much better something sounds when you get out of your head and open up your mind to new things :)

My Floating Balloon: Today my balloon has death. I know. How morbid! Recently I found out that someone from my school died. I didn't know him but I knew some of his friends. Thats what made it so real i guess. It's like I know people die everyday, but when someone so close dies, even if you don't know them, it just feels...weird. Part of me wished I knew him because from what I heard and read he seemed like a really cool guy, and then I guess it would be normal for me to feel sad. But then part of me is glad I didn't know him because then I wouldn't have all these memories of him and have to relive them everyday knowing that he's gone. I don't know. It's been weird too. I guess I expected it to be like that one Degrassi episode where JT dies and everyone at school is affected by it and all the teachers say things to help the students. But its not. In fact, nobody has really said anything about him dying without me bringing it up. Maybe it's because none of my friends were really friends with him, but still. I expected life to seem....sadder. But then, maybe that's not what death is about. Even though he's gone it kind of made me realize that I should take everything as it comes to me. You know, live life to the fullest. I know everyone says that....but I really need to do just that. Especially me. I know this is gonna sound weird but.... i died once. I mean not like die die like i'm a ghost, just I almost lost my life. when i was really little a car ran threw the gate of my school and my best friend and I were swinging. I was hit, my friend was hit, a teacher, a little boy. I cracked my head open (still have a scar which hair dressers will not let me forget!) and fractured my pelvis. I almost didnt make it! Almost though. My best friend didn't. And the little boy. So for some odd reason I got to live. I got a second chance, which is more then the guy at my school did, or my best friend, or the little boy, and so many people that die everyday. So for me to not live life, to take every breath as it comes, to go outside my door and just...live, seems really, really, really, stupid. Not just me though, everybody. We all were born with one chance to live. So take that chance, and don't dwell on whatever problems you have, we all have em, and just LIVE! <3 Thanks for reading.

My Floating Balloon: Today my balloon has me. And I don't think you know a lot about me. I don't think a lot of people know a lot about me, not even the closest ones to me. So here we go! Let's learn!

Lets start with favorites because thats just the easiest thing to begin on. My favorite... book. looking for alaska, band. too many to count. song. too too many to count but as of now ship of promises by villagers. time. summer. love. mother. word. doodle. animal. GiGi. color. yellow. thing. every. And then theres all that stuff in between. What I hate and what I love and who I hate and who i love. Let's just pause there for a moment while i think. I always hear people say that they cover up their emotions so well. Like how they feel, but sometimes i feel like telling them "You really don't" because when you know someone really well there is no hiding your emotions. You are not a good enough actor. You just are not. A lot of people I know do this. And I think people think that I'm always happy or don't have problems. That's what they think. That's because I am a good actor. Not you. If i could be anyone i would want to be myself. Because in all honesty I just cant think of being anyone else, it would just be too weird. All my beliefs would go away and it just wouldn't be the same. I've spent sixteen years working to become who i am and i don't want to throw that away. My friends are the closest thing to perfection to me. They are almost too perfect for me. It's weird how three people can be so much a like but different. It's really weird actually. Compared to everyone at school I feel lost in a whole different world. I don't think I belong in the world of teenagers. Okay okay I am pretty kooky myself but sometimes... they just seem on a whole diffent level then i am on. I don't like when people say they don't like living here. Not because I think that Newport is perfect or anything. No. Just because wherever you go and settle yourself into you will never be happy enough. Newport is amazing. The beach. the weather. And you say you don't like the people here. Well. Theres people everywhere. And they're all the same. Snow is further up the mountain. Rain whooshes past us. The sun comes out when we really need it. And the crime sleeps at night. I love where i live and even though I want to see more. I know I'll be back. I like to make the most out of things. I hate when people don't. Because yeah, life sucks at times, but not all the time. You just don't notice the times that it doesn't because your living in it. You dwell on the times it does because it gives you more reason to hate it. We all have poblems and drama and people who we just want to kick in the face. But if we forget about that... well then life is pretty damn good.

Is it weird how much I am obsesses with Katy Perry? Kinda? Okay. I just think she is so beautiful and talented! Normally, if you havent noticed by the music i select, i don't listen to pop music. However, i find myself constantly putting on her latest CD! Yes, i admit I am one of those people who blasts out singing Fireworks whenever it comes on the radio! I even made a lyrical dance to one of her songs....

So last time i talked to you I think i said i was working at Wet Seal? Well that is not true. I started working at Arden B. which is a sister store to them, with cuter, more expensive clothes. I then quit last week. Because...well i hated it. And now i am a poor teenager again! Yay!

It was just he holidays, so how was everyones? Mine was superb! Notice anything different about these pictures compared to the ones of my last posts??? NO DATE! I got a new camera!!!!! I was so happy! Now i can finally post!

Christmas was fun, i'm not gonna bother you with all that i got here, you can go to my other blog to here about that!

New years i spent with my friend Eden, while my other friend Rhi was in Las Vegas enjoying herself! E and i went to the beach and took some pictures, and she actually took an okay picture of me!!! I was so happy!!! I'm gonnna put it as my Fb profile pic, i just don't know which one i like the best! So you tell me!

My Floating Balloon: Today my balloon has the new year! It's 2011, and i have made no resolutions! Mostly because i never follow up on them and actually do what i planned for more then about the first two weeks. Anyway, i think it's important to have a goal, not just each year, but for everything. Life and all that stuff. For now my goal is to get through highschool doing the best i can, while having fun with my friends and family! I'll let you know if i think of anything else!

Dare to be Different

Yay! Yayayayayayay i got a job! I'm gonna be surrounded by clothes! Yay! I got a job at wet seal. Im pretty excited cuz the last job i had was at my moms work and it was filing, spread sheets, copying, and under the table money. Hehe :)

I really liked this outfit. It's one of those that makes me happy when I wear it. It's not too crazy like some of my other ones where kids at school give you weird looks, but trendy enough to stand out. I wore the top tucked in to the trousers and left the blazer slightly open so that the gold zippers on the pants (not able to see in these photos) was visible. My friends and i decided that today we would all wear black boots, so to tie those in I added a black belt. I found it added more to the outfit anyway and made it more dinamic. I also wore a gold chain with a gold feather on it.

My Floating Balloon: Today my balloon has those who stand out. I applaud you. It is hard to stand out and break out of our shell, especially at the age I am in, where everyone feels like they have to fit in. I find myself struggling to keep myself me and not those around me. But some people, the ones you look at weirdly when they pass you, are the ones I aspire to be like you, which is contradictory. I aspire to be like you in that i want to be like me, like you. My Floating Balloon: Today my balloon has our philosophies. We are doing this thing for english were we have to write our philosophies on subjects like love and truth and other things like God. We are reading all these amazing quotes from old dead guys and I just want to tell you some of my favorites.

SO TODAY was the second day of school. Usually school is block schedule but for these past two days we've been having regular schedule where it goes first second third....continue till the end, rather then a day: 1st 3rd 5th b day: 2nd 4th 6th, wich i love so much more! it goes back to that tomorrow, however it doesnt stop me from still having things due tomorrow because of the regular schedule!!! Bleeeehhhhhhhhhhh hw that i should be doing!

Things that happened:
Nothing. Did work. Learned more about class room rules. OH! the foreign exchange person wasnt there today. That kind of made me sad :( Not that i would have talked to him anyway (im kinda shy) but still! his missing presence made me a little down. OH! And Rhi and i mad names for two more people (Zebra and Thought Process) and thats about it.

My Floating Balloon: Today my balloon has our body. I know thats a little strange but what i mean is how we look. I think we seperate ourselves from people who don't look a lot like us. We tend to shut out the people who don't look the way we do. Not just that though. I'm also want to say something about how our bodies and the way we look hold us back from doing things we want. The way we look sometimes seperates us from not just people, but also things that we would like to do. Look at yourself right now and see if you can find a place where you would fit in perfectly just by the way you look. I am sure we all can do it. I am talking about weight, color, size, age, muscles, or none. Things like that, that tend to sepearate us and keep us from doing amazing and exciting things, just because we think we cant or don't think people will accept us. So today was the first day of school...UGHHH!!!! I know you probably don't care about this that much but i shall tell you all about my wonderful (horribble), beautiful (ugly), and lovely (icky) day. Okay okay it wasn't that bad! i know! but school? YUCK! the word makes me wana throw up my lunch (that i packed in a hello kitty lunch box, and had spagetti in it but i forgot a fork so i couldn't eat it!).

(i love how you can see the inside of my closet peeking through! yep, those are my rainboots)

and that stupid date!!! i want to kill it! but i don't know how!!!

So i have all my outfits planned out for the next two weeks....so i think i'll be posting almost every day!!! yay!

finally! back to how it was when i first started!!!

Things that happened:

Nothing really.....i don't get my locker till monday! which means i wont be bringing that lunch box again cuz it was annoying to carry around. Lets seee..... I have AP Psych. first, which is full of a bunch of seniors i don't know (and this one kid that i recognize from somewhere....(long story)) and then i have comp lit (english, i don't know why they call it that...well i do but english is just much easier to say and print) which is normal....except i sat in back of this guy who had a giant mohawk and i tried to resist from poking it. Chem i have with JWU! (fascinationdrop.blogspot.com) but we don't sit by each other, and in back of me (OMIGOSH!) theres an exchange student!!! i got so excited!!! i really wanted to ask him what shopping was like there....but then i remembered he was a teenage boy and wouldn't give me a good answer. Anyway! i plan to make friends with him....somehow...... (rhiannon i need your help to pick a nickname)

I then proceeded to dance where....i was late because freshmen where holding up the stairs! and when i walked in Ms simmons (the teacher) gave me one of her death glares. And i was so looking forward to seeing a teacher i knew! And then i was talking while she was talking (no no!) and she gave me another one, this one longer, even though i wan't the only one!!! I don't really think she ever liked me....
ANYWHOO, that was my day, i have other classes but it all goes down hill from there.

My Floating Balloon: Today my balloon has all the narrow minded people of the world. I don't mean to sound harsh but that is probably you. It's really all of us. We all say "gosh, i hate narrow minded people" but honestly, who are you trying to fool? We are all closed minded in our own way. Examples: When you wont try a certain food because of how it looks or because you've never had it before. When you wont listen to a certain kind of music because you don't like an artist or two that plays that kind. When you look at someone and decide you don't like them based on what they look like. When you wont go somewhere or do something because you "don't want to". When you refuse to listen to someone talk because it's not what you believe. We all do some of these things. I'll admitt that i basically do all of these things. Do you? I don't mean to offend and i don't mean to ramble, i'm just saying that maybe we should all try to open ourselves up to new places, new people, new music, new foods, and new beliefs! I think that would make for a wonderful world! Wouldn't you agree?!? <3 Thanks for reading!

I went to a birthday party yesterday and we camped out in the front yard around a fire and talked and stayed up all night. We talked about tons and tons, but one thing that came up was some people saying how they would rather live in a different time or decade and how you are faced with things like death and all that morbid stuff that makes you feel depressed and forget everything.

Then, i got an email from my mom about one of her old family friends. She has cancer.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:

"Fuck you cancer, you are not going to run my life, I am. I’m going to do the things I like to do..."

This was said by the writer of the blog One Little Head.

This woman is fighting the dreaded cancer. I don't know her personally, and my mom only has memories of her, but she is a person. She has recently decided to quit chemo and her doctor told her she only has a 1% chance of living. IMAGINE being told that!

I don't think we realize everything we have and what we could have in the future. She is being told she doesnt have a future. But you do. So don't forget that! When my friends and I were talking about living in a different time or being in the world at the wrong time, I found how stupid that sounded. I don't mean to be mean (especially if one of you friends are reading this) but seriously! We were born in this time, with this life. So stop thinking about everything you don't have, everything you want, and everything you hate. Stop thinking for a while and just LIVE. You have one life. Don't waste it.

At any rate, please visit One Little Head it is not like the fashion blogs you probably read, no pictures, just the truth about a woman diagnosed with cancer.

AHHHH!!!! Summer is almost over, which means SCHOOL! eep. The only thing I like about summer ending is i can finally wear those school clothes I got about a month ago and have been trying not to wear! its been very difficult!!!

My Floating Balloon: Today my balloon has expectations. I am going into the school year with 6 new pairs of schoes i didn't need, a blue streak in my hair, a few extra pounds of love on me, and low expectations of the year. However, sometimes it is good to have low expectations to me, then when things come your way you are overcome with joy/sadness/other emotions, that you never expected and cherish them that much more. On the other hand though, sometimes expectations are good to have, almost like a goal that sets everything in motion. Without them you are just riding out time without any form of possibility of what could happen. With that in mind i decided to create a School Year Resolution List:

Here we go...

1. Do yoga/ pilates once a day to work on my center (ur welcome Ms. Simmons), balance, breathing, and strength

2. Wear all of the clothes in my closet at least once this year, minus my coat that i plan to wear in new york during winter in my dreams.

3. Dance my a** off, which i will have to do anyway. 5 classes a week not including dance at school. Blehhh
4. Get all A's (i count AP B's as A's!)
5. Try not to cry as i do my AP US History homework
6. Make at least 2 new friends
7. Talk to one of the following people rhi and i gave nicknames to from a far : Buddy Holly Guy, Nice Kid, Making Friends, Devon, Jesus, Robert, Folds, Bryson, Jim Morrison.....thats all i can remember....

So there you go. My expectations for this year. What are yours?

My Floating Balloon: Today my balloon has a short story i wrote. One of many quick writes :) If you like it click this link and give it 5 stars so that it can end up in the magazine.(it sounds a little odd when you read it, but thats how i wanted it to sound)

His hand in mine. “How does that feel?”

“It feels nice”

His arms around me. “How does this feel”

“It feels nice”

His lips parted on mine. “How did that feel?”

“It felt nice”

You are so nice. In everything that you do. I wouldn’t want to be with anyone but you. Trust me it is true. When you ask me the questions about how I feel, I become conscious and scared and I search for the words to help me describe it best. But I cannot find the words, and I think I know why. I think it is because no words can describe the feeling I get when I am with you.

So instead of searching for the right words to say, I mumble a simple phrase “It feels nice.”
And I know what you think when I repeat the same words, “Am I doing something wrong?” But you are so nice, and no nothing is wrong. It is nice. It is perfect. Exactly like you.

But I know these words are not enough, because at one point I almost lost you. These cursed words that come to my brain almost made you leave me in pain. Away from me. Angry. But you could never be too angry. Because you are so nice.

“How are you feeling today?” You asked, leaving a tender kiss on my head.

“I feel nice.” I whispered, looking down at my hands, and you became so mad.

“Am I doing something wrong? I just can’t understand” you said, pleasantry gone , leaving only annoyance instead.

“Nothing is wrong, how could you think that at all?” I questioned confused. But I knew exactly how you could think that at all. These words in my head were terrible things. Nice. It’s not enough. But it is all I can say.

“I can’t get close enough to you.” you said sternly and distraught “All you ever say is nice. I am nice. You are nice. Our kisses are nice. Is nothing good enough for you!” You yelled. It wasn’t a horrible yell, don’t let my words and exclamations confound you. You were gentle, sweet and kind. You were nice.

“Don’t you see” I put my hand on your cheek to calm you down. Your warm skin was entrancing
“You are nice. Your touch is nice. Your kisses are nice. Nice to me is perfect to you.” I took my hand away, and with all my might I hoped that you would stay. And you did. Because you are so nice.

So then you knew. You knew you were nice to me. So, well, am I nice to you?

My Floating Balloon: Today my balloon has choices. There are so many choices we can make its crazy to think how sometimes we can only pick one. I was shopping at barnes and noble with my friends and came across this book that was all about choices. It was amazing. Basically it was a story written in many different ways. You read a chapter then at the end you got a choice of what you wanted to happen and you had to go to that page. I guess its kind of like the goosebump books but it wasn't. ANYWAY! i like that idea, but i got to thinking what if i didn't know the choice i wanted for the character. What if i couldn't choose and i didn't like the outcome of the one that i did choose? It is like life. Which i am guessing the author is sort of saying when he/she wrote it. In life you are going to have a hundred thousand million choices your going to have to make and sometimes you wont know what to choose and you're not going to like how it turns out, but that is just life. I am faced with a choice right now, and i don't know what i'm going to do based on the fact that i am scared of what the outcome will be. But. But! i am just going to have to face it. Like all of us should do. A little lessson for you there. <3 Thanks for reading.

My Floating Balloon: Today my balloon has inspiration. It travels up looking down at the world and taking notes of things as it ideas emerge in its mind. I get inspired by most anything; music, clothes, stores, people, random items. I am sure im not the only one! right? I think creativity comes out of your mind using the inspirations that have traveled into it. Right now i am bursting with inspiration. I want to do so many things and so many project and i just dont know where to start! I'll start with the rest of my post i suppose!

I went to little tokyo and china town today! it was great! tons of shopping and i got amazing deals on clothes! I'll be doing many posts with my outfits soon!

My Floating Balloon: Today my balloon has sadness, but not regular sadness. It has the sadness you feel towards yourself. The kind you get when you are depressed or feeling bad and you blame everything and everybody else for it. I don't feel this way often because I look at things in the view that it is always my fault. Which i guess is not very good either. However i see it as if something is wrong with me that is making me feel bad it may be because i have done something or have an effect on it, not anybody else. Anyway, i know that we have all probably blamed others for our feelings, and sometimes it should be blamed, but when it comes to sadness for yourself i believe that maybe you should step back and look at exactly what you are sad for. Sometimes you just need to look at it and get over it. I know that sounds bad, but it is true. Dont mourn for yourself. Just stop, think about something else and all that is great in your life and put on your happy face. :D <3 Thanks for reading.

1960's Metaphor

Hey! So i got my computer fixed! Yay! so now i can post more often! but sadly my camera died and all i am left with is my webcam. sad face. I havent been taking photos of what i have been wearing but i will make sure to start again! All i have is this one:

For dance i was in i had to tease my hair because i was a lion. So i did that again to my hair and took some pictures

For dance again we had to do a decades project and our group got 60's. When i was researching i came across some pretty swell pictures.

I just love so deeply the fashion of the 1960's. Hehe. It was just so....classic and amazing you know? anyway. The first picture demonstrates modernists of the time. Those who kept up with the time...in fashion anyway. The 2nd from the left is wearing a dress that looks exactly like a dress i have. Or i guess it would be the other way around. anyway look in my past posts to find it. The next three pictures show Mary Quants mini skirt and dresses that first came out during the time. Love love love. And the last is an ad from Emilio Pucci. The color is amazing.

My Floating Balloon: Today my balloon has metaphors. It describes its journey up to the sky with comparisons of two unlike things. Here is the thing. I am at a loss of metaphor. Today in class my teacher said prepare a metaphor for next time comparing life to something. I have no clue. I began to think of a box of chocolates when he said "and dont use life is a box of chocolates". Crap. Now what? So to start. I will ask if you could please help me think of something to use! i have to write a whole poem on it next class. Next, I began thinking of metaphors in its dictionary definition. Two things that are not alike in most ways but similar in others. It slightly reminds me of people. We are all different but share some key interests with others. Not just people though, everything. Everything can be classified as similar to something else in some way. So .... Life is a metaphor. Do you think he would accept that? <3 Thanks for reading

My Floating Balloon: Today my balloon has beauty. Everyone stares as it rises to the perfection of the sky painted in blue with white brush strokes spread neatly across. I think that beauty changes with the trends of the time. But thats only the idea of beauty. In reality everyone is beautiful. What i mean by this is that at some point in your life you will find someone that you just think is absolutely beautiful inside and out. Not by definition, not by the trend, just by how you feel. Also, you will see that someone, whomever it may be, will think you are beautiful. Someone will. So in times you feel like you aren't or someone leads you to believe you are not, just remember that in the path your life takes you, you will come across somebody that will find you the most beautifully attractive person. That alone should get through each day. And if it doesnt just go outside your door or open your curtains and look out the window and see all the beauty the day brought; the sky, the moon, the sun, or even just the air that surrounds you. My Floating Balloon: Today my balloon has perfection. It flies up to the sky viewing all in imperfect people of the world as it rises. What is your view on perfection? Do you believe is exists or not? I always hear people say "Nothings perfect" or "there is no such thing as perfection" but i believe there is. The word perfect is a word, yes, i mean you can look it up in the dictionary and there will be a definition, but I mean perfection in the sense of perfection. If that makes any sense at all. I believe that perfection is something we seek. I think that perfection is just a mind set. For example in a partner. We all have traits in our minds that add up to what the perfect person to be with would be. For instance dark hair, maybe blue eyes, funny, sensitive yadyadayada. However, depending on our life and experiences we may meet somebody that changes our view of what we want and suddenly our view of perfection molds around them. They become the image of perfection to you. Then there is also other things we call and try see perfection in. Maybe a painting? When you look at a painting and you suddenly think that it is just unbelievably beautiful and perfect, it may not be to somebody else. Depending on your mood and how your life is going, that painting might reflect you and everything you believe into it, making it perfect. However the person next to you looking might look away because to them its nothing but another picture somebody made. So basically, i believe perfection exists, you just cant explain what is perfect because what is perfect to you may only ever be perfect to you and change over time to reflect a new perfection. <3 Thanks for reading!
